Where our TriYoga flow classes end is the point where Prana Vidya begins. It's that place that the flows, breath, inner focus, and relaxation brought you to and opened you up to the presence of being. In this six week course we continue that journey and go even deeper.

The practices that I will be teaching in this course are practices that I have been doing daily for over three decades as taught to me directly by my teacher, Sri Yogini Kalji. In addition to the beautiful postures and flows that we teach in TriYoga for the strength, flexibility, and well-being of the physical body, the Prana Vidya practices will bring us deeper into the subtle realm of yoga teachings and the experience of the subtle energy that flows within while nourishing the physical body.

The knowledge of life-energy, Prana Vidya is the trinity of breathing sequences (pranayama), concentration techniques (dharana), and meditation (dhyana). Presented systematically, these practices develop better health, mental clarity, and inner peace. The breathing practices build the muscles of the abdomen and pelvis, strengthen internal organs and increase the flow of prana. The concentration and meditation techniques deepen one's knowledge of energy and expand the inner journey.

In TriYoga there are eight levels of Prana Vidya. This course will cover Basics and Level 1.

Hasta Mudra (mudras for the hands) will be taught that will support the practice of moving inward.

TriYoga Flows will be offered to help the body to release tensions and awaken the flow of Prana in order to sit comfortably for the practices.
